Project: April Fools!
DFDS wanted to raise brand awareness, and promote ORCA‘s wildlife conservation activity on board with an April Fools Prank: the discovery of a fictional pink sea creature, the Northern Tusked Porpoise.
We storyboarded and produced the video, filming with Michaela Strachan for credibility, and worked some CGI and photoshop magic to create the porpoise itself.
The video featured in “best of” roundups by The Huffington Post, Telegraph.co.uk and Yahoo.com, and covered as its own feature in Dailystar.co.uk.
That’s more than 12.5 million unique monthly views via press outlets alone, and another 18k on DFDS’ Facebook.
