Client partner: The Bridges
Campaign: The Bridges Edit magazine design
The Bridges is Sunderland central shopping hub. Its 100+ stores welcome millions of visitors each year.
The centre wanted a new way to engage with shoppers, and showcase the trends and style available in-centre. With that in mind, they came to us with a new design project.
From summer 2015 The Bridges Edit, a lifestyle and fashion magazine, will be hosted online demonstrate everything on offer at The Bridges, reinforce their brand and engage with people on a whole new format.
With a magazine planned each quarter, we designed The Bridges Edit to be flexible enough to fit each season’s mood.
The content can be accessed on smartphones in centre as a reference guide, at home for a bit of retail motivation, and anywhere in between on the go. The magazine has inspiring photography, style and lifestyle tips to help anyone decide on their look for each season.
Because our design keeps the look and feel of a magazine, complete with turning pages, the convenience of access on the move doesn’t come at the expense of the gloss or luxury of a print mag.
We turned The Bridge’s lifestyle and fashion offer into a document destined to raise the centre’s profile and shopper’s desire to stop by.
Aspirational, playful and fresh designs, based on The Bridges brand, filled every page of The Bridges Edit.
Our design for the debut issue would form expectations for all future magazines, so we created an adaptable format that would allow for change and flexibility with each season’s fashions.
The Bridges are down to earth, and fun. Their honest, relatable tone was reflected in our design, which was aspirational but not exclusive, designed with all shoppers in mind.
